Tips on Increasing Your Wins in Blackjack

Even before many of us reached our teenage years, the fundamental nature of playing blackjack have already seeped into our growing awareness. Our childhood included watching the elder members of the family play the game after dinner on holidays, mindful of how they aimed to beat the dealer in getting their hand of cards closer to a sum of 21. Wanting to copy them, we kids would play amongst ourselves what we soon figured out as the game of blackjack.

Our love for the game of blackjack was once again rekindled in our early adulthood but this time adding our own touch on the many effective ways of dealing with whatever combination of cards we get. We have done among ourselves so many rounds of the game that we have successfully used them on casino parlors. So, it is not surprising that I should be able to present tips in blackjack that one can use in any game.

Tips in Blackjack

Sure there are already a lot of tips in playing blackjack but here are our own "tried and tested" tips in blackjack. The fundamental approach for playing blackjack would largely depend on what the sum of the two cards you hold is and what the dealer's card is. These tips in blackjack include the following. If you get 5, 6, 7, or 8 as sum, you must hit whatever the dealer's show card is. If the sum is 9, the dealer's card is 3-6 and casino rules permit it, you must make your bet twice as high; if it's not allowed, then hit. Do the same if the same is 10 or 11 and the dealer's card is 2-9. If you get a sum of 12, you must hit when the dealer has 2, 3, 7 and above and you must stand when the dealer's card is 4, 5, or 6. If your sum is 13-16, you must hit when the dealer has 7 and above and stand when the dealer's card is 2-6. Lastly, for a sum of 17 and above, you must stand.

Maximizing your Game with the Tips

One should take advantage of these tips in blackjack. Not only does practicing them allow you to make the most out of the game, but you also increase your chances of winning each game that you play.

There are also existing tips in the blackjack game that are actually myths and, therefore, should be avoided. For one, it is not true that following a specific approach ensures the player a win. There is always a .05 percent chance that the game's result will be in favor of the casino. This is true both for the online game and the land-based game. Another false tip in blackjack is that a player could win if he plays for a longer time. The truth, however, is that you actually have bigger chances of winning over a brief period of time. Also, it is not true that having fun is only in the winning of the game. A player who plays the game with his head can fully enjoy blackjack all throughout the course of the game, even if he ends up not winning any money.

Although these tips in blackjack that have been given are not failsafe, these tips provide us players a customary game that is courteous and considerate of everyone in both land and online playing arenas.
